Dear Mr. President,
There are crimes, undoubtedly there are crimes which in all seasons of our existence ought to put a generous antipathy in action: crimes that provoke an indignant justice, and call forth a warm and animated pursuit.
Edmund Burke, Letter to a Noble Lord, (1795, 1796)
The stage of our society is set with tragedy authored by fabulists who embrace the ravenous spirit of a cannibal philosophy in swoon to their delusory presumptions. Nevertheless, your totalitarian socialism that takes sustenance in gnawing at the bones of the Republic’s former success is limited by actuality. Hence, your confidence is revealed to be overweening foolishness when the Republic is rendered a slave forced to shackles by the imprudence of imposing debt levels certain to cripple, a state of welfare that stultifies, rejects industry for envy, burdens markets and business with government oversight, replaces the law with supreme edicts and the humble justice of Republicanism with haughty caste. Hence, we are at a cusp and must make our choice between fair prudence and relativized "truth". I will go further, between freedom and slavery.
After four very long years of dutifully writing letters it is undeniable your juvenile melancholy, displayed during our YMCA exchange, has turned to hateful apprehension of the Swartos very existence. Your hate is now a matter of record. Perhaps this is just as well, though confidence in your courage does not inhabit my meditations, craven pouting ill becomes a President and a certain amount of hate might lead you to arrest your despicable fear. You seem to me a lot like Dick Cheney who believed that Generals were not paid to think and that there was not enough money in the world to persuade Dick to fight (Dick was and always will be a chicken hawk). Your duty is clear and you have clearly balked, if you did not want the job you should not have campaigned for it, your flagrant cowardice is a disgrace to the office. Moreover, not only this nation but many of the nations of the world are watching (remember the Ambassadors) and presumably not impressed with the abrogation of law, including the Constitution, the forced and grievous suffering of American citizens and the sight of the President and Presidents of the United States of America running from it all like common thieves caught in the act. Not content with the theft of our dignity you have disgraced the entire nation. Your repose among the nefarious is judged appropriate.
Now, in concern for your composure it will be added that you should seek out the support of people congenial to your caste. Ms. Clinton comes to mind immediately. She who baffled the polity with a stubborn paucity of information regarding the discharge of her duties and moreover her whereabouts during the Benghazi debacle might be the perfect model for your behavior in the coming months. You could just disappear as she did, take a rest, get your story straight, put in Mr. Biden and we have learned from the Benghazi experience the press will do anything but bring attention to your absence. Nor will they explain their active participation in not bringing attention to the utter insensibility of Ms. Clinton exiting the national stage in the heat of battle. They have chosen to become a blatant partner in the subversion of our society. But of course, national exigencies are dwarfed by the importance of Ms. Clinton and the Democratic Party--and the press--gaining the presidency. Liberty, Justice and Truth are consequently swept aside as mere impediments for which there is no tolerance. The law will be made malleable, their whims will prevail, they will rule. Totalitarian socialism lives.
It may be objected
that the press has suffered an unjust criticism. If that is so let testimony be
taken.
Thanks to you and
your incorrigible canaille the law is no longer in vigor, government is in
prorogation and thus my family has been forced to court enmity. Expect no
homage from us. As I have said before, I have the honor to be,
An unapologetic American Whig,
Lynn Swartos
